Using transit apps for a trip in Korea
Plan the route, identify the correct exit or bus stop and keep the destination address available offline.
Plan door to door
Enter your actual destination, not just the nearest station. Save its Korean name and road address so you can compare the result with signs or show it to someone if needed.
Read the route before setting out
- Subway. Note the line, travel direction, transfer station and exit number.
- Bus. Check the stop name or ID, the direction of travel and where to get off. Stops on opposite sides of a road can serve different directions.
- Walking connection. Check the distance between the exit or stop and your destination.
When the app and the sign differ
Use the operator’s notices and station displays to check disruptions and last departures. A route-search result is separate from a ticket or fare payment. Keep a screenshot of the route in case your connection drops.
