Privacy policy

What we collect
We store your verified Google account identifier, nationality, nickname, acceptance time and activity. Profile region, interests, image and bio are optional. Google email addresses, Google names, access tokens and refresh tokens are not retained by KoreaBase.
Why we use it
We use this information to sign you in, show your contributions, protect the community, review listings and produce aggregate service statistics. Content and contacts you choose to publish are public.
Statistics and security
We use an essential session cookie. Application statistics retain a daily keyed hash derived from IP address and browser information for up to 30 days; the application statistics do not store raw IP addresses. Aggregate counts may be retained longer. Separate web-server security logs follow the operator’s server retention policy.
AI drafting
Editors may use OpenAI to prepare drafts. The draft process receives minimized content topics, titles and aggregate search terms, not Google identifiers or private profile fields. Public text is screened for obvious contact information before it is used. Editors must review generated content before publication.
Closing your account
You can close your account from Account. Your sign-in identifier and profile are removed, and your posts and comments become unavailable publicly. Moderation records, previously published content and backups may be retained only as needed for service integrity, legal obligations and the operator’s retention policy. Contact us for access or deletion requests and retention details.
Service providers
Google processes sign-in under its policies. OpenAI processes drafting requests under the API account’s data settings. These providers may process information outside your country. Browser translation is controlled by your browser.
